Job Summary
Our client is a rapidly growing consulting firm who serves the non-profit sector. They are seeking a motivated and highly organized Staff Accountant. Reporting to Assistant Director of Finance, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for various finance and accounting tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:
Bookkeeping and Finance
- Account for bank and credit card transactions
- Reconcile several bank and credit card accounts
- Reconcile investment accounts
- Prepare monthly and/or quarterly financial reports
- Process receipts and expense reimbursements for clients and staff
- Ensure all expenses are properly backed up with supporting records i.e., invoices and receipts
- Scan invoices to virtual team, record invoices in bill.com/QuickBooks Online, print and mail checks as needed
- Serve as primary contact for staff and vendors concerning accounts payable issues and inquiries
General Operations
- Identify and execute the implementation of process improvements with Assistant Director of Finance, such as automating systems and applying technology solutions to streamline accounting functions as needed
- Research and select vendors meeting client specifications, manage vendor relationships
- Actively participate in documenting accounting process and procedures
- Manage ad hoc analysis on client and client projects
- Organize and maintain digital and physical files in accordance with record management policies

NOTE: This position requires working one to two days per week in the client’s offices, other days may be remote.
