Job Summary

Our client, a dynamic and growing non-profit organization, is seeking an Inclusion, Diversity, Access & Equity Manager to join its Arlington, VA office. This is a newly created position. The IDA&E Manager will develop and implement initiatives to expand and support a multi-year roadmap of strategic IDA&E priorities. The successful candidate can collaborate across the organization and with members to build an inclusive environment while providing guidance, support, and resources to promote accountability and awareness around diversity and equity.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:
- Manage implementation of multi-year roadmap and strategies and ensure short- and mid-range objectives are met; collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to secure integration of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access principles; contribute to the planning and execution of long-range goals
- Assess organizational practices; research best practices to establish sound and innovative processes, policies, and programs to include learning opportunities and forums relating to DEI principles and cultural proficiencies to deepen staff knowledge and have their voice heard, and processes that support retention, engagement, and development for underrepresented groups
- Plan, develop, and implement communication with staff and members that includes practical and actionable tools and resources for increasing workplace diversity and inclusion
- Provide support for Inclusion, Diversity, Access, & Equity Committee efforts, to include meeting agendas, back-up materials and documentation, follow-up on action items to ensure timely progress
- Foster and maintain relationships for collaboration on IDA&E initiatives across industry partner groups; ensure appropriate and timely internal and member-facing messaging, infographics, and communication
- Lead planning efforts to advance staff-facing IDA&E projects through all phases (including health equity and workforce-related efforts)
- Implement and monitor an efficient system to track metrics and measurements for progress against established priorities and goals
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent related experience
- 2 years of experience managing projects or programs of similar nature
- 3 years of relevant experience in a diversity, inclusion, access, and equity position with increasing responsibilities in a professional work environment
- Success in designing, managing, and implementing diversity, equity and inclusion strategies and programs
- Experience designing and leading learning sessions and communication plans is desired
- DEI certification a plus

- High level of self-motivation and initiative
- Intermediate level proficiency in working with Microsoft Office including SharePoint
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn systems or computer applications
- Ability to leverage insights through data analytics (assessment, analysis, and reporting) of diversity & inclusion metrics
