Job Summary

Our client is a growing organization that is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Human Resources.  This is a dynamic position for someone with excellent communication skills and a strong human resource administration background that is eager to lead their own department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to oversight of the following areas:

  • Plan and administer policies relating to all phases of human resources activity; accountable for the alignment of the company culture, providing organizational development
  • Day-to-day administration of the Human Resources function
  • Coordinate and manage all workforce planning including working with in-house and outside recruiters and provide guidance on candidate selection and placement
  • Office management inclusive of facilities, reception, and administrative employees
  • Consult with managers and employees on a variety of issues including employee relations, performance management, career development, retention, hiring, policy interpretation, and benefits
  • Develop and implement compensation plans and ensure compliance and equity within the organization
  • Analyze and publish employee service metrics, conduct exit interviews in order to provide feedback to the organization
  • Advise and assist management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues, complaints, or disciplinary actions
  • Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance with all state and federal regulations

Position Qualification

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  •  PHR or advanced degree preferred from entry level employees to executive management

Experience

  • 7+ years experience in human resources with demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of personnel
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial, sales environment preferred

Skills & Abilities

  • Exhibits and champions excellence in work and a willingness to embrace change and improve processes and systems
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
